This is a pretty terrifying thing to see from the chairlift. Shared to Instagram by mogul skier Cole Carey, a cornice breaks near the top of a crowded trail, sending some major chunks of snow hurtling down towards a bunch of skiers. According to Cole’s caption, this was filmed off the Peak chair at Whistler. Based on the location and camera angle, it seems like this was going down in Whistler Bowl or a different nearby trail.
