If you want to have an extremely close encounter with some wildlife, you should get really sweaty and lie completely still while they lick the salt off of you…

This tired hiker laid down after six hours of hiking in Tombstone Territorial Park in Yukon, Canada, when he was ambushed by a family of salt-hungry marmots. The animals didn’t bite, didn’t break any skin, and eventually just moved along. Altogether a pretty sweet experience for these marmots.

Let’s be clear real quick, don’t go for hikes hoping for this to happen to you. Don’t try to pet the animals, don’t try to bait them with food. These hikers got extremely lucky with this marmot experience, they didn’t coerce the animals in, and you shouldn’t either.
