Ever wondered how an ocean kayaker navigates through large breaking waves? Do they just take it head on? Do they just slam their way through? Of course not! They turtle roll!

I’m not a big kayaker, so I’ve never actually tried turtle rolling myself, but it looks like it would be a pretty good time. According to Kajakkguiden‘s video description, turtle rolling is specifically used for passage through large, challenging breaking waves, especially when they’re above the overhead mark.

I’d watch a 10 hour video of someone just turtle rolling their way through a bunch of waves. It’s just super relaxing, for some reason…
