The 2024 Freeride World Tour has ended, sadly. But that just means we get plenty of highlight compilations to enjoy until the next season gets going. For example, the best hot seat clips from the 2024 YETI Xtreme Verbier.
The “hot seat”, or the Dynastar Hot Seat in this case, is where the current competition leader sits as the rest of the competition continues. So when someone gets the highest score in their category, they take the seat, staying there until someone else beats their score. Someone could sit there for one run or someone could sit there for ten. It totally depends.
I’m a big fan of how they all seem to react with awe to the runs their fellow competitors are throwing down. It’s not jealousy, it’s not disdain, it’s awe and respect. I like to think that says something pretty good about this sport.
