DENVER, Colorado – Colorado’s Front Range is in for a huge snowstorm, beginning tonight and running through Friday. As always, predictions on the higher end of the spectrum and predictions on the lower end of the spectrum are wildly different, with saying just 5″ and some saying up to 18″ (in Denver).

There’s few better than Chris Bianchi for Front Range forecasting. Unlike the general weather forecasts, Bianchi takes us through why some models say one thing and others say something dramatically different. Explaining what needs to happen to create each outcome is Bianchi’s specialty.

Sounds like we’ll have a better idea of what’s going to happen when we wake up on Thursday morning. If there’s one thing I’d be willing to bet on, it’s that I-70 will be a whole beast heading towards the mountains.

As with any snowstorm, if you’re going to attempt driving anywhere, make sure you carry extra food, blankets, and survival equipment. And PLEASE, for the love of all that is good in this world, DON’T TRY TO DRIVE INTO THE MOUNTAINS IF YOU DON’T HAVE AN APPROPRIATE VEHICLE!!!!!
