I don’t speak French and the YouTube auto-translate caption feature is perfect but it appears the man who was caught was only partially buried and was cold but okay after getting dug out. The response time by the helicopter was impressive, seems like S&R teams in the area are in a state of constant vigilance for situations like this and can swoop in quite quickly. To be honest it was a bit disconcerting how casual everyone was after this extremely dangerous event. Just another day skiing France I guess?
