Gore Mountain will reopen its gondola after experiencing a mechanical issue that knocked it out for more than a week.

We want to extend our heartfelt appreciation to the hardworking Gore Mountain Lift Maintenance Team and the expert Leitner-Poma specialists. Their dedication and exceptional skills have played a pivotal role in ensuring that our beloved Gondola is ready just in time for the MLK weekend. We are grateful for your understanding and patience.”


It should be a great weekend to be at Gore with even more snow forecasted for tonight, with the possibility of 3-7″ of snow forecasted for Saturday. And as long as Mother Nature delivers, Gore should be able to open some glades!

The New Yorkj ski area witll have 23 miles of well-maintained trails across three mountain peaks open for skiing and riding and is even planning on opening Backwoods on Burnt Ridge Mountain, their new trail they added last season! Ward Hill, Woodchuck, The Loop, Wood Out, and Pete Gay are planned to open ungroomed for those looking for some powder. And the snowmakers will be working on Sagamore, Paradox, Eagle’s Nest, Peaceful Valley, Moxham, and Oak Ridge.
