The latest step in Cranmore’s base area redevelopment process is now complete.

On Saturday, Cranmore Mountian Resort in North Conway, New Hampshire opened the Fairbank Lodge. The $20 million development replaces the old Cranmore base lodge, which was originally installed back in 1946. The new lodge mixes modern touches with pictures and pieces of Cranmore’s past, which includes vintage photos and one of the original Skimobiles.

The new 30,000-square-foot lodge features a food pavilion, bar, lockers, cafe, retail shop, and restrooms. The top two floors have fifteen condominiums.
Prior developments in Cranmore’s base area that have occurred in recent years include the Kearsarge Brook Condominiums, the Artist Falls Lodge, and the Fairfield Inn & Suites.
Next up in Cranmore’s base area redevelopment projects is The Lookout. This building, which has a planned opening during the 2024-25 season, will feature seventeen residences and a new ski patrol facility.
After that, they plan a second phase of the Fairbank Lodge, which has a planned opening date of 2027. This will feature twelve new residences, a restaurant, along with a ski and snowboard school. The final phase of the base area redevelopment is expected to be completed in 2029, which will include nineteen more residences, a rental shop, and a retail shop.
