Some breaking news just came in from Bretton Woods, as the New Hampshire ski resort announced that they’ll be opening tomorrow.
For opening day, they’ll have the Range View trail open, which will be serviced by the Zephyr Express chairlift. The Zephyr Express will operate from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. In addition, snowmaking is currently underway on the Ben, Crawford’s Blaze, and Outer Bounds trails. The rental, repair, and Treetop retail shop will also be open. For food, Lucy Crawford’s food court will be operating from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m.
Tickets will be $72 for adults, $62 for teens, $52 for juniors, and $42 for seniors. However, if you bring a nonperishable food item to the ticket window, you’ll get $10 off your ticket. These food items will go to local food banks.
This season will mark the 50th anniversary of the New Hampshire ski resort. This milestone will be marked by a homecoming weekend from November 24-26th. Festivities will include a brewfest on November 24th, a screening of Warren Miller Production’s latest film on the 25th (which will include a guest appearance by Dan Egan), and a speech from Dan Egan up at the Rosebrook Lodge on the 26th.
Meanwhile, over at Waterville Valley, they’ve opened up the High Country for the U.S. Snowboarding Team. With this being used as a private training area for now, Bretton Woods will be the first in New Hampshire to open to the public for the 2023-24 season.
