Off-season for professional skiers definitely leads to some odd activities, and that especially seems the case for the Kilde/Shiffrin household. Following up on the unexpected sight of Aleksander Aamodt Kilde walking in Milan Fashion Week, Mikaela Shiffrin was recorded singing on stage with country musician Dierks Bentley.
While this pairing may seem odd at first, the duet occurred at the US Ski Team’s annual fundraiser in St. Louis. The theme of the fundraiser was “Mikaela’s Roadhouse” in honor of her record wins this past season. Bentley was the headline entertainer for the evening, but Shiffrin joined him for a surprise performance. You can check out the clip of her singing below:
The event was a success for both Shiffrin’s musical career and for the US Ski Team. Beyond Shiffrin showing off her vocal talents, the event raised over a million buckaroos for the team. What’s next for Shiffrin and the US Ski Team? Hopefully, skiing…
