This edit from Shawn Obra starts as your typical, run-of-the-mill skiing video. On May 15th, Shawn was skiing on Mt. Hood. Outside of some rocks appearing above the snow, it was a fairly normal spring run.

Then, something sketchy appears. Shawn saw that he was skiing towards a moderately sized crevasse. He jumped and narrowly avoided getting captured by it. The situation is a great reminder to monitor your routes in the backcountry before sending it, as you never know what you may experience.
