The statistics from Utah’s 2022-23 ski season were incredible. Thirteen of the fifteen ski resorts in the state broke their all-time snowfall records, two-thirds of them had their longest seasons ever, and there were 44 powder days (snowfall of a foot or more). The biggest winner of the season was Alta, which received 903″ of snowfall. A recent snow measurement of Devil’s Castle from the Utah Avalanche Center found that the upper reaches of Alta still have a snow depth of over eight feet.
