I don’t own a dog right now, but I can tell you that if I did, there’s not much I wouldn’t do to keep that pup healthy and happy. I’d cuddle with the dog, I’d feed it well, I’d take it on plenty of walks or hikes, and I’d probably put its life before my own a bit too much. I don’t think I’d be too interested in ever doing something like this, though.

Honestly, though it’s quite fun to point out how wild that is, it’s pretty ingenious. If someone did this every time they took their dog out on a hike I’d be pretty disturbed, but desperate times (like when you forget your dog’s water bowl) call for desperate measures. Seriously, good on @harleehoneyman for being willing to take the necessary steps and keeping the dog safe and hydrated.
Please make sure to bring a water bowl and some extra water if you’re hiking with your dog! If you forget a bowl, be ready to find and alternative like the one in this video. Make sure you understand what a dehydrated dog looks like, and please do your best to never allow it to get to that point. We don’t want to see our furry friends hurt, ever!
