If you look into the past of any professional athlete, there’s a pretty darn high chance that they played multiple sports as a kid. Maybe they were even quite good at multiple sports as a kid. Strong athletes are strong athletes, and skills often transfer decently well.

Slovenian cyclist Primož Roglič is just one of many athletes who’ve done well in multiple sports, but his path is a bit more unique. We don’t talk about professional ski jumpers very often on this website, but that’s exactly where Roglič was headed before becoming one of the best cyclists today (if you have no idea who Roglič is, he just one the Giro d’Italia, one of the biggest road cycling races in the world, and has one multiple stages at the Tour de France).

“In the world of professional cycling, tales of exceptional talent and meteoric rises are not uncommon. However, few stories captivate the imagination quite like that of Primoz Roglic. From a former ski jumper to a dominant force in road cycling, Roglic’s journey to the top of the sport is nothing short of remarkable.”
