Summer skiing will be going down in Tahoe this year, with Palisades Tahoe announcing that the resort will be offering skiing through the Fourth of July weekend.

“Thanks to an unforgettable winter with more than 55 feet of snow through mid-March, we are extending our ski and snowboard season into the summer! As the Spring Skiing Capital®, we are proud to announce that we will be extending our season until July 4th, 2023 (weather and conditions permitting).

With our Ikon Pass on sale, our 23/24 passholders will be able to join us on the slopes starting April 10th.

Operations will look a bit different this year than in summer’s past. Typically, we run the Funitel on the Palisades side to our upper mountain throughout the warmer months, but this year, we have a large project to complete on the Funitel that will prevent us from operating the Palisades side of the mountain past May 29th. During the month of June, we will be replacing the haul rope on the Funitel. This sizable project has been in the works for several years and, despite the huge amount of snowfall we’ve received, we cannot adjust the timing of the project in any way.”
