Frightening avalanche caught on camera in the British Columbia backcountry. The rider in the video was hesitant to share it but thought his experience would be a useful reminder “that spring time snow and temps brings on a very diverse snowpack.” Thankfully he was able to stay on his sled and pin the throttle to escape the debris.
“I wasn’t going to post this due to instagram keyboard warriors but its a great reminder that spring time snow and temps brings on a very diverse snowpack… We talked about the probability of this sliding, along with the LOW risk due to size and runout but still eye opening especially after a few test passes on the lower side. Mother nature is always humbling, tread carefully and keep your head up!”
