Skiing at 90-years-old is incredible, but being a season passholder? That’s unofficially the coolest thing I’ve heard in a while

RED Mountain Resort, located in Rossland, BC, took time to honor their oldest season passholder.

Renate Belczyk is the author of Our Trip Around the World‘, a book she wrote about traveling the world in the 1950s with her friend Sigrid.

Belczyk moved to the Canadian Rockies in 1959 to work in the backcountry.

She then married and had kids, and spent the remainder of her life as a mountaineering pioneer in the region.

Check out the quick clip from RED Mountain below:

Awesome, right? I hope to be skiing that well at 60-years-old, let alone 90!

RED hinted that a longer video will be released soon of their day on the mountain with Renate. We’ll make sure to share it when it’s dropped.

In the meantime, I’m going to look into getting a copy of Renate’s book.

Two women traveling the world following WWII? Sign me up. That sounds damn interesting.
