One of the closest ski resorts to Vancouver will have a new chairlift for the 2023-24 season.

Mt. Seymour announced last week that a new fixed-grip quad chairlift will replace the Lodge lift. With the current chairlift being a fixed-grip double chairlift, the new Doppelmayr lift will increase its uphill capacity to 1600 guests per hour.

Some of the features of the chairlift will include a ride time of 3.2 minutes and a loading conveyer with loading gates. The Lodge Chairlift services intermediate terrain and is directly accessible from their base area. Mt. Seymour’s official announcement is below.
