Freeskiing owes a boatload to The Egan Brothers.
Dan and John were stars of multiple Warren Miller movies throughout the 1980s and 1990s.
Their segments usually focused on big mountain riding while clad in matching neon outfits. Their ability to send intense terrain on the skinny skis of the day was downright heroic.
Remember that clip where they both nearly died as a cornice the size of a school bus released in the Grand Targhee backcountry?
