Vermont based Burton Snowboards seems to have been victim to a cyber attack which they are calling a “cyber incident” on February 14th that shutdown its e-commerce operations completely. As of today, they are still not accepting online orders and are referring customers to brick and mortar stores:
“We are working closely with third-party specialists to investigate the incident and determine the full nature and scope. We are also making every effort to get our operations back up and running, but unfortunately are not able to process orders at this time.
Additional information is scant and unreliable but rest assured if this was a full on cyber attack the proper authorities have been alerted and are on the case. We will be sure to update as information becomes available. Find Burton’s statement below.
