WATCH: What Utah’s Excessive Snowfall Means For Dried-Up Reservoirs

Despite this season’s excessive snowfall, Utah is still experiencing a drought, but that could change if this winter keeps on chugging along like it has been.

All of Utah’s 16 water basins are at 150+% above average in regards to snow water equivalent.. That’s great news for Utah’s dried-up reservoirs.

ABC4 Utah explores just what Utah’s snowpack could mean for fixing the drought, and bringing the state back to normal water levels.

Here’s hoping it keeps dumping at Utah and across the American west.

It’s great for skiers, awesome for business, and essential to Utah’s 3.3 million residents who rely on snowmelt to survive.
