Wiping out on skis is never a good feeling.  But when you do it on the steepest ski slope in the United States, it’s gonna hurt.

This wipeout occurred on a ski run named Rambo at Crested Butte, Colorado. It’s a double black diamond that is said to be the steepest man-made run in the United States.

As you see in the video, it only took the skier 19 seconds to slide from the top of the run to the bottom.

I once asked a ski patroller at Crested Butte how they bring a sled down Rambo when someone falls. Their response was, “We never have to; they always end up at the bottom.”
