Fairly Mellow is the title of the new video from Lucas Wachs that dropped on New Year’s Day. This was the second installment of the “Holiday Treat from 10 Barrel” campaign which saw the first film, Goose Down, drop on Christmas Day.

Wachs is a tenured freeskiing shralpinist and a Bend native has long been 10 Barrel Brewing’s favorite skier. Featured in their epic Pray for Snow films as well as other small edits, his feats on snow are well documented.

Fairly Mellow is the newest example of this. Featuring Wachs, along with fellow freeskier Sam Cohen, they make their way to the Adamant Range of British Columbia. There they spend a few days charging peaks and moraines out of Fairy Meadow ski hut.
Wait until you see what they did there!

“It was a challenging trip as we didn’t get any new snow prior, and the wind stripped off all the leftover powder,” said Wachs.
Now that’s a story every skier and snowboarder can relate to. The constant chase of finding the goods no matter when and where is a ski story as old as the sport itself.
Although, as you can certainly see in the video below, the boys made out just fine.
