Officials have confirmed an employee at Park City Mountain Resort has died after he fell from a chairlift when a tree fell onto the cable. FOX13 reports the incident occurred at approximately 10:45 a.m. on Monday when a tree fell on the Short Cut chairlift line. An on-duty employee was riding the lift and got knocked off the chair, falling at least 25 feet.  Ski patrol responded immediately and conducted life-saving efforts, but the employee did not survive.
