It turns out that one billionaire has a good taste in movies. The Wall Street Journal reports that Canadian entrepreneur Patrick Dovigi sold one of Aspen’s homes for $55 million after buying it for $44.5 million after purchasing the company in December of 2021.

The property was bought under Dexter Rutecki Properties, LLC, which gives homage to one of the legendary protagonists in the famous film Aspen Extreme. The six-bedroom home spans 3.5 acres, was built in 1992, and includes a spa, and a pool, and has a stunning view of Ajax.

Peter Dovigi was originally a hockey goalie who was drafted by the Edmonton Oilers. A long-term hockey career didn’t work out for Peter, so he went into the business world. Peter has become a billionaire, thanks to being the founder and CEO of Green For Life Environmental Inc.  The Canadian company focuses on waste management and environmental services. Last June, Peter bought another home in Aspen for $72.5 million, which was a record-setting purchase.
