Jack Frost, PA

Interesting Nugget: An employee of Jack Frost’s sister resort, Big Boulder, was a pioneer in perfecting modern-day snowmaking.

Snowshoe, WV

Interesting Nugget: The ‘base area’ of Snowshoe sits at 4,848′ above sea level. Higher than any summit in the entire state of Vermont.

Powder Mountain, UT

Distance From Nearest Major City: 54 miles (Salt Lake City)

Interesting Nugget: Powder Mountain is the largest ski area in The United  States by acreage. The area offers an astounding 8,464 acres of skiable terrain. Pow Mow is on the Indy Pass.

Blacktail Mountain, MT

Distance From Nearest Major City: 237 miles (Spokane, WA)

Interesting Nugget: Blacktail was listed on Craigslist with a $3.5M sticker price back in 2018. It’s on The Indy Pass.

Echo Mountain, CO

Distance From Nearest Major City: 36 miles (Denver)

Interesting Nugget: Echo Mountain was closed from 1975-2005, but has reemerged as Denver’s closest, and most affordable ski area. It’s also on the Indy Pass.

Le Massif de Charlevoix, QC, CAD

Distance From Nearest Major City: ~49 miles (Quebec City)

Interesting Nugget: Le Massif serves up hundreds of acres of skiing with stunning views of the St. Lawrence River. It’s the largest Canadian ski resort east of the Rockies.

Wintergreen Resort, VA

Interesting Nugget: Wintergreen is one of the largest ski resorts in the southeast. The resort boasts a 1.4 mi run, and multiple high-speed lifts.

Chestnut Mountain Resort, IL

Interesting Nugget: The Farside terrain park is a premier free style skiing and riding destination in the Midwest. Chestnut is also on the Indy Pass.

Hogadon Basin, WY

Interesting Nugget: Hogadon Basin is located just 22 minutes from Casper, WY.

Hurricane Ridge, WA

Interesting Nugget: Hurricane Ridge Ski Area is located within Olympic National Park. It’s also on the Indy Pass!
