Wildlife officials with Great Smoky Mountains National Park (GSMNP) are reporting on a relocated bear that is setting all types of records.
GSMNP relocated Bear 609 after she was reported to have been eating food off picnic tables and stealing backpacks within the park.
609 was relocated to South Cherokee National Forest in Polk County, Tennessee, but she didn’t stay still.
609 traveled 1,000 miles across four states, survived getting hit by a car, and eventually returned to the same campsite she was originally relocated from.
