U.S. National Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame member Glen Plake joined Michigan’s Nob’s Nob Ski Area in celebrating their opening day on Friday, December 9th. According to UpNorthLive, Plake spent the weekend at the area, helping to teach ski instructors from across the midwest as a part of an event with Professional Ski Instructors of America.

“It’s just great to be out on the outer echelons of the sport and be able to come back in and be in around instructors that are out there teaching people every day whether it’s first-time beginners or somebody’s been skiing for 25 years” – Glen Plake

Glen is definitely one of the coolest dudes in the history of extreme skiing (and skiing in general). If you don’t know who he is, do yourself a favor and go watch The Blizzard Of Aahhh’s, and then go watch every other movie featuring his awesome skiing. Good on Glen for helping out with PSIA, that was almost definitely an incredible experience for all of the instructors involved.
