Did you know that the Yukon Territory is home to lift-serviced skiing? The remote Canadian territory is only home to nearly 44,000 people, and yet it’s home to multiple ski areas. The largest of these ski areas is Mt. Sima, which began its 2022-23 season today.

The mountain has most of its terrain open already, as it actually hosted a FIS Alpine Ski Race back in November. Mt. Sima is spinning the lifts today, tomorrow, and Sunday from 11 a.m.- 4 p.m. local time. Today, they will have a beer garden starting at 5 p.m., and they’re also hosting a Canada Cup Series Big Air Event at 6:30 p.m.
