Let this be a friendly reminder that Candide Thovex has been on top of the world of skiing for more than two decades, and that Shane McConkey would still be pushing the boundaries of what’s possible if we hadn’t lost him back in 2009.
Both are pioneers of the sport that we love. We owe them a great deal for making skiing what it is today.
How incredible is it that Matchstick Productions had both of the legendary skiers in their 2002 film ‘Ski Movie II: The Front Line’.
The excerpt below shows Candide going absolutely huge on a hip feature, and McConkey doing some classic McConkey shenanigans in the backcountry.
