Blue Knob Trail Maps, Conditions, and Information

I made the mistake of saying that Seven Springs Mountain Resort (opening Friday, November 25th) would be the first ski area to open in PA, and thankfully one of you fine folks corrected me (shout out Daniel)!

It turns out that Blue Knob All Seasons Resort in Claysburg, PA will open TODAY (November 23rd) and is officially the first ski area open in the great state of Pennsylvania.

It will be a modest opening, with only beginner terrain available, but skiing is skiing, as they say!

Here are the details from Blue Knob on their opening day plans:

May be an image of snow, sky and text that says 'BLUE-KNOB ALL SEASONS RESORT ALL Opening On Wednesday, November 23rd!'

“Good morning, skiers & riders! It’s awesome to be able to welcome you back! We will ski & ride today from 10 am until 5 pm on the top of Upper Mambo Alley and the Snow Drop Beginner Area with a groomed surface that should soften up nicely throughout the day.

The Snow Drop Beginner Triple chair will be in operation, Lift tickets will be $35 for adults and $30 for juniors (12 & under), seniors (65 & older), military & 1st responders (with ID).”

I hope all of you heading out to Blue Knob have a fantastic time making turns on snow. Enjoy it for me!
