Ski Utah, a non-profit trade organization with the aim of promoting Utah’s ski/snowboard industry since 1975, has chosen an official brand anthem and its a tune off Don McCloskey’s new album The Chaos and The Beauty. Titled Unbecoming, don’t think the title necessarily encapsulates the skiing and snowboarding in place that touts itself for having the “the greatest snow on earth” but the reframe of “you’re all I wanna do” will resonate with all us diehard skiers and riders. If you could pick an anthem for the Utah ski scene what would it be?

Unbecoming by Don McCloskey:
I know it’s unbecomingFor a man my ageTo feel anything but angerTo feel anything but rageBut I want you in my sweaterI want you in my hairI’m old enough to know betterAnd young enough to not careSo if you dareLook me in the eyeTell me it ain’t true
You’re all I wanna doYou’re all I wanna doYou’re all I wanna doYou’re all I wanna do
If I could do it all overI’d do it all the sameThat’s a lie that I once told youTo try to help you stay saneCause when all those roads untakenStart to shimmer and shineWhile you’re hacking through the thicketsIt can play evil tricks on the mindI know it’s fine it’s fineYou tell me all the timeBut is it true?
You’re all I wanna doYou’re all I wanna doYou’re all I wanna doYou’re all I wanna do
Emerging from the wreckageOf my misdirected youthGraying like a templeJagged as a toothI know the cruelest thing they told youIs that there’s always hopeBut like these bones that hold youWe’re strongest where we brokeSo take this heartWith all it’s scarsAnd make it beat anew
You’re all I wanna doYou’re all I wanna doYou’re all I wanna doYou’re all I wanna do
