“Sometimes the White Sharks are confidently curious. Usually self preservation always comes first. This is more rare, intentionally approaching head on, and if you notice, pausing when there is a perfect triangle of separation. Then choosing to put itself in the middle, between two people. As always though, its spatial awareness is on-point, as it perfectly splits the difference.” –Scott Fairchild

Unnerving great white shark encounter captured by drone near San Diego, California.  The drone operator believes the sharks behavior was unusual as it approached the pair of paddlers head on rather than from the rear or flank and thinks the encounter was spurred by curiosity rather than predation. Either way the people on the SUPs were fully aware they were not alone and I’m pretty sure they had to check the contents of their undies afterwards.
