On September 30th, the Stubai Glacier in Austria opened for the season. The ski resort opened with five lifts and two trails, along with one of its restaurants and a retail shop. According to PlanetSki, it is one of five ski resorts in Austria that are currently open for the season, with the others being Hintertux, Soelden, Pitztal, and Kaunertal. From the video they posted yesterday, it looked like a great time. It’ll be interesting to see how energy prices impact their operations, along with other European ski resorts, as mountain towns are already concerned about the rising costs.
