Alta Ski Area (Utah) took to social media yesterday afternoon to share an incredible picture of a rainbow stretching across the Wildcat Base Area.
Their caption states “We’re not sure what it means, so we’re just going to assume it’s a good omen for this winter.”, and I tend to agree with them.
I can’t think of a better omen for a deep winter than a beautiful rainbow appearing on the last day of summer, can you?
Alta isn’t necessarily favored for an abnormally deep winter if we’re going just based on La Nina forecasts, but who knows, right? Science can take all of their fancy models and shove it.
I’m gonna make a bold claim solely base on the fact that a meteor flew over Salt Lake City back in August, and that a rainbow showed up on the last day of summer-
Alta is gonna get 650″ of snow this year. You can take that to the bank.
