A fire has destroyed The Restaurant Botta at Glacier 3000 near Le Diablerets. The fire was reported at 4:30 am at which time helicopters were put into service to bring firemen to the site. Helicopters were also used to bring up water to fight the blaze.
Thankfully no one was injured in the fire. An investigation is underway.
The Restaurant Botta at Glacier 3000 opened in 2001 at a cost of more than $16 million. It was located at nearly 10,000 feet.
