Owen Leeper is one of my favorite follows on social media. His Instagram (@o_leeps) and YouTube videos rarely miss, and I always find myself feeling satisfied after watching his content.

Such is the case with his most recent upload showing him ghost riding a snowmobile for endless backcountry laps.

It probably goes without being said, but I’ll say it anyways- You should  definitely not try this at home. Pushing a snowmobile down a backcountry slope is inherently dangerous, but damn is it fun to watch.

Check it out:

Again, I don’t recommend that anybody do this, buuuuuuuuuuuut I will admit that it’s kind of genius.

Is it dangerous? Well, yeah.

Could it be considered environmentally irresponsible? Probably.

Does it create extra risk for the skier, the landscape, and others that might be in the area? Definitely.

Is it an extremely effective way for maximizing your downhill laps in the backcountry? For sure.
