In light of the selling of Jay Peak to Pacific Group Resorts, I recently stumbled upon this vintage video on my Youtube recommended feed. Back in 1969, Jay Peak released and distributed this video brochure to bring tourists up to the Northeast Kingdom. The video was posted on Youtube by Jay Peak History website owner Bob Soden, was written by David Rittenhouse, cinematographer Tom Emrich did the cinematography, edited by Blanka Baker, and narrated by Al Cahill.

Not much of Jay’s terrain set up along with the vintage tram has changed, but the base area setups certainly have, with new hotels and an indoor waterpark making it a year-round vacation destination. Hopefully, Pacific Group Resorts brings back the turtle races to the apres-ski experience. The vintage video brochure is below.
