A group of tourists to Quadra Island in British Columbia, Canada were treated to a chance encounter with a pod of Orcas recently, and thankfully their cameras were recording.

Jared Towers, a killer whale researcher, told The Vancouver Sun in an interview that the orcas are the T-090 family. The family includes a mother, her adult son, and two daughters. He said:

“The two daughters, aged five and 12, were the two whales that came closest to the shore and rolled over on their sides to check out Callum on the shore,”- The Vancouver Sun
