It’s 2022 and ski resorts across the country are investing heavily in snowmaking as temperatures warm and annual snowfall totals shrink.

Steamboat, CO, one of the most popular ski resorts in the entire country, has invested millions of dollars to expand their snowmaking efforts as part of their multi-year ‘Full Steam Ahead’ improvement plan.

For this season, the resort will debut snowmaking across the entirety of their new Snowsports School, Greenhorn Ranch, and on many of the trails on Sunshine Peak.

The goal is to be able to open that terrain earlier in the season, and make the skiing experience better all-around.
