In the most 2022 thing ever, Alta Ski Area (Utah) had to install special trail pull-outs so that influencers can take photos of wildflowers and not damage the land off-trail.
One can assume that these pull-outs had to be installed because enough people were not obeying the signage to stay on the trail.
Figures…
Dear Influencers in the Wildflowers, thanks for another colorful and festive wildflower season. As you may have seen, we have new photo pull-outs and signage in the Albion Basin reminding everyone to stay on-trail and out of the wildflowers. 🌻

Good on Alta for adapting to the ‘influencer’ culture. You can’t prevent the 20 to 35 year-old Instagram models from showing up to take photos, but you can try to keep them corralled so they don’t destroy the landscape.
Sorry. That was probably a little bit harsh. I just can’t stand people who don’t stay on the trail. I learned that golden rule when I was a toddler, and I assume that everybody should know as well.
Stay on the trail. Please.
