A beachgoer spotted a large hammerhead shark feeding in the shallow waters of a beach on Nantucket Island, MA. The shark can bee seen violently thrashing and tearing at a fish in just inches of water.

Nantucket is known for shark sightings, but officials are tracking an abnormally high number of sharks along the eastern seaboard this summer.

@lisalarsonnyc: “Hammerhead! Lunch! (Watch to end and swipe for leftovers!)🦈🐟”

Stay safe out there this summer friends. It’s still extremely unlikely to be attacked by a shark, but still! Be safe.
