I never really considered how somebody would go about removing an old chairlift, but thankfully there’s YouTube for that. Remember those old iPhone commercials, “There’s an app for that”? I feel like YouTube could run the same ad with “There’s a video for that”.
Anyways, this video shows lift mechanics cutting through the haul rope of an old lift at an undisclosed location, and the result is amazing. I won’t ruin the video for ya. Just check it out for yourself and witness the awesome power of a haul rope’s tension breaking.
