I feel an intense obligation to write an article whenever a ski resort announces they’ve hired a new avalanche rescue pup. I can’t explain it entirely, but I think the cuteness overload washes over me like a crashing ocean wave. I can only submit myself to its raw power.

Okay… that might have been a little melodramatic, but I think you get the point…

Beaver Creek Resort (Colorado) just announced not one, but two new pups have joined the ski patrol team this summer!

First up is Ruby, a 13-week old black lab who will be handled by six-year patroller Toby. She’s adorable.

Next up is Telli, a nine-week old golden retriever who will be handled by Gavin, a four-year patroller.

No offence to Ruby, but Telli is maybe the cutest puppy I’ve ever seen. There’s just something about golden retriever puppies, ya know? They’re hard to beat…

Here’s to a long and prosperous future for Ruby and Telli at Beaver Creek!
