Climate change seems to be, quite unfortunately, a rather controversial subject throughout a large part of the world. Whether or not you believe it, climate change is already significantly impacting a ton of lives and will continue to impact more and more as the days go on.
This is a skiing focused website, so if you’re reading this, I assume you enjoy skiing quite a bit. Well guess what? If we continue to let climate change destroy our world, skiing as a sport and hobby will likely be destroyed.
Despite it being quite evident that we, as humans, are destroying our climate and planet, there is still a significant amount of pushback surrounding any effort to restore Earth’s health.
One of the biggest reasons why efforts to repair the climate are struggling so much seems to be money. If no one can make money off the efforts, then few intend to fund it, and if the efforts could have an impact on how some people make money, then they’ll almost certainly be crushed. Unfortunately, however, a majority of these plans involve making little to no money, or don’t require that much funding, like the one featured in the below video.
The title of this video makes the claim that Russ George’s experiments involving dropping mineral dust into the ocean are controversial. I don’t see it that way whatsoever. Before today, I’d never heard of this plan, but after seeing this video, I’m quite convinced that most people would support the restoration effort. In fact, the only people who seem to find it controversial are those who care only about making money off repairing our planet.
