I had no idea that late-season/summer snow could get covered in so much pollen that it would actually cause it to be slow. Never even considered it.

Thankfully, the internet can be an effective tool for actually learning things, and the video below by BC Ski Junkie proves that heavy pollen can be a real hinderance for sliding on snow.

Such a shame that all of that snow is slow as hell, right? It almost looks like he’s skiing in slow-motion.

The snow has clearly been affected by some sun-cupping, but a wide open bowl like that in June should deliver slushy, but fun snow.

Good on BC Ski Junkie for still making the most of it.
