Hand up, I had no idea that bears even lived in Oklahoma, but I’m now assuming that they do based on this Tweet by the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife.

Just to make sure- we’re all on the same page, right? Somebody, if not multiple people, must have doused themselves in bear spray and now a government agency is having to make a public statement about it…
I love America. We’re all so frickin’ stupid in our own ways.
I just can’t get over the fact that somebody thought you should spray yourself with bear spray to deter bears from getting near you. They must of had a rude awakening in the first millisecond after turning that nozzle onto themselves.
That’s gotta be an interesting emergency to respond to.
Just so you know, you can click here to learn how you’re actually supposed to use bear spray. Notice how the user points the cannister towards the bear, and not on themselves. 😂
