In light of Tenney Mountains’ recent announcement of a comeback, Louise McCormick of the Plymouth Historical Society spoke about the beginnings of the ski resort in the 1960s. In the video down below, she interviews Garner Hall and Steven Hall, who are two of the surviving children of the founders of Tenney. They discussed their parent’s original rope tow in Alexandria, the characteristics of the mountain that attracted the Hall family to purchase and build Tenney, the first years running the slope, the struggles faced during low snow years, and the legacy of the mountain.
