Tuesday is shaping up to be a historic day at Alta Ski Area. Alta just announced that the rarely open Albion lift will have its last ever day of operations on April 12th. If you can’t make it on Tuesday, this Youtube POV from Utah Ski Lifts gives you a perspective on what riding the lift is like. The Albion and Sunnyside lift will reportedly be replaced by a high-speed six-pack lift this summer. The Sunnyside lift will be going to Red Lodge for their beginner area, but its closing date has not been set yet. After running from 10 am-2 pm Mountain Time on Tuesday, the lift will officially retire after sixty years of operations. The lift will be going out in the best way possible, as Tuesday is potentially going to be a deep powder day. Image Credits: Alta Ski Area, Utah Ski Lifts
