It didn’t snow more than a dusting for an entire month in Utah’s Wasatch Range.

A lapse of snow for that long is pretty much unheard of, but the recent drought plaguing the American southwest continues to rage on… unfortunately.

Alta Ski Area finally picked up a decent storm over the last couple of days, and the bluebird powder shots were flying all over social media. Normally, 8″ wouldn’t really be considered a true ‘powder day’ by Alta standards, but I’m sure it felt like a godsent this season.

On a personal note, I don’t think any ski resort on planet earth does a better job of making their powder skiing look so damn good.

The blue sky contrast to that white powder flying around is downright dreamy. Well done to Rocko Menzyk and Jonah Williams for the awesome shots. 👏
